With oil nearing $150/barrel and gas certainly going above $4/gallon in every part of the country, it’s no wondering people are trading in their gas guzzling SUVs and searching for the Most Fuel Efficient Used Car they can find. I may be wrong on this, but I’m pretty sure if fuel economy is your primary concern (and you want a car, of course – a moped gets 100mpg+) then the Honda Insight is probably going to be your best bet. There aren’t a lot of them around because the car just wasn’t that popular back when it was introduced, but it does get outstanding gas mileage – some people have even been able to get 75mpg+ out of it, but keep in mind that’s with some very creative and conservative driving – not your typical aggressive driving style seen on freeways from 4-6 every week day.
