Assistance is available for Baton Rouge health insurance

The state of Louisiana, the city of Baton Rouge included, offers many assistance programs to people that need help purchasing or maintaining insurance. They include the Louisiana Children’s Health Insurance program that covers children under the age of eighteen. The Louisiana Health Program assists residents including those who cannot get individual Baton Rouge health insurance for various reasons. Medicaid is also available for low income residents. There are also several Federal programs available to help. Several drug research and development companies also offer discounted or free medications to people in need of assistance. Check with your health care provider, local Baton Rouge health center, or the companies directly to see if you qualify.
