Grateful for Accounting School

A long time ago, when I was a kid, I went off to college and finally ended up in the business department in accounting school. I’m not sure it was exciting. But, it was satisfying, one of those courses of study that had no gray areas. It either balanced or it didn’t; it was either legal or it wasn’t; it was either on budget or it wasn’t. Accounting was a math puzzle, with a finite end. I seemed to be one of those people that was detail-oriented and hands-on enough to make a good accountant. That decision has paid off in job security.
