Forgetting Your Life
By admin | July 7, 2008
My grandma has dementia, which is an early form of alzheimers. It is so sad seeing her struggle with this disease. She has trouble remembering many things. Sometimes you can have a conversation with her and she asks the same questions over and over again. She has lived such a wonderful life and seen so many different things. I think it is so sad that important things in her life are probably forgotten. My grandma is like a second mother to me, so it is very hard to see her going through this. I want her to remember me and my new family and what is going on with my life. I don’t want to remember her for forgetting everything; I want to remember her for who she was. Alzheimers is such an unfair disease. I hope that they will find a way to cure it someday.
