When Can I Introduce My Baby To Fruit?

By the time your baby is about 6 to 8 months old and is used to eating baby cereal, you can slowly start to introduce some fruit into her diet. Good fruit to start with are banana, apple and avocado. You can find quite a few fruit snack recipes for baby online, in books and magazines or just make up your own. The most important thing is to mash the fruit up really well so it doesn’t present a choking hazzard to your little one. Remember to only introduce one new food item at a time and pay close attention to any changes (think skin rash ) in your baby. If your little one doesn’t like the food on the first try, offer it again a few days later. It takes a while for them to get used to the new flavors and textures.
