Why swimming pool alarms are so important

For the past four years I’ve worked as a police dispatcher here in Southern California. I’ve had and heard every imaginable call that someone could think of. The call that gets me the worst are the ones where a kid falls into a pool and nobody even knows about it. For this reason alone I’ve told everybody and anybody that if you have a swimming pool, you definitely have to look into some swimming pool alarms. They are relatively cheap and are very inexpensive protection for your children. I recently heard there’s a law that might go into effect making them mandatory.
