Types of Distance Learning

distance learning comprises of wide range of courses with an aim to accommodate those learners who are unable to dedicate themselves for any specific course. It is normally an extension or advanced type of learning instead of basic or traditional school learning. It includes tele-courses or broadcast where contents of syllabus are communicated through radio or television broadcast. It includes correspondence which is conducted in shape of regular mail, internet interaction and CD-ROM where students normally interact to contents of any program written on CD. Course contents can also be stored in a mobile device known as ‘Pocket PC’ and students can get benefit through a wireless service and it is termed ‘mobile learning’ also.
