CHET ATKINS AND MR GUITAR

Although his fame has diminished in the last few decades, people are still getting together on a yearly basis to honor the guitar playing style of famous musician Chet Atkins and these days people meet up in Tennessee once a year from as far away as Japan and New Zealand to showcase their love of the unique musician’s style of playing the guitar. Many people who have decided to learn how to play guitar cite Atkins as one of the most impressive reasons as to why they decided to pick up an instrument. Atkins had an interesting style that was reminiscent both of country music and urban sounds.
