Church fundraising events helping you raise your funds and have fun

By admin | July 24, 2009

With the chief executive of Next warning that the cost of fashion clothing will  potentially increase by 10% next autumn it is worth considering how you are going to look fashionable in the coming year. Due to the fall in the price of sterling it will mean the cost of importing fashion clothing a lot greater in the coming year as a lot of new clothing is sold in dollars and comes from Asia.

The production of clothing has moved to countries like China, Bangladesh and Vietnam because of their reduced labour prices but this appears to have had a sting in its tail for many large brands as with the falling cost of sterling, the exchange rate of sterling with dollars has reduced by 15%. Lots of fashion shop owners will have problems passing on inflated prices as the cash paying public are hopefully going to be a great deal more careful with their cash and may choose to hold back instead of spend unless insentives are their to purchase fashion products.

Enterprising organisations have started running fashion show fundraising events at which you can purchase genuine labelled clothes with up to 50% off the actual retail cost. They are sold as slightly imperfect even though most are not seconds but over-runs or end of lines. These Fundraising events allow people benefit a good cause of their choice, and purchase a selection of labelled clothing at greatly reduced rates.

Personally I think it will do people good to discover alternative ways of putting their hands on fashion wear. So perhaps if you have a carnival fundraising event or Church Fundraising event you could get in a fashion show fundraiser, make shopping an enjoyable event and save yourself some money at the same time.
