New Pet Owners Encouraged To Take Their Shelter Dogs to a San Francisco Dog Training Class

By admin | July 7, 2009

I work at an animal shelter, and even though I do a lot at the shelter, my biggest job is educating new pet owners about their animals. For example, when someone decides to adopt a dog, I meet with them and spend time educating them on the particular needs of a shelter dog. One thing I talk about is how lots of shelter dogs have been surrendered due to a lack of training. I always advise new dog owner to find a San Francisco dog training class, and sign up their new pet right away. Our shelter pays for half of the cost of the class, which really encourages people to go to training classes.
