Any Recommendations: Dish Network vs Direct TV

I am facing the difficult decision of Dish Network vs Direct TV for a satellite provider, and I am looking for any advice or help that anyone can give me. Any insight on the decision would be very much appreciated. I have done the preliminary research and found that both carry my local channels and that both are around the same price. Aside from those two issues, is there anything I should be looking at? Technical problems? Extra/Original content? Customer service? How satisfied are you with your satellite provider? Which one do you use? Help me choose! Thanks in advance.
