Earn Your Way Along The Game !

Computers and video games are a way of life. Unless I want to join an Amish community or go and live in a cave, I don’t think the world of technology is going to back-pedal for my sake. Things and ideas seem to have their own momentum.
My son is a good kid. He has friends and they do seem to do more than play video games. However, my son spends a lot of his free time on the computer or on one of his other forms of technology. He wants to purchase something called a WOW leveling guide.
I told him that he would have to earn the money by doing something that helped other people in our community.
I heard the lamenting about how his friend’s parents do things etc…I have heard it all before.
I spoke with my son about why I want him to earn his way for this purpose or any other. I told him that the world needed his attention and that he can make a real and felt change in this world for the better; that it wouldn’t take some extraordinary effort. I also gave him some ideas and he took them to heart !
My son and his friends clean out garages for the seniors in our community. They recycle what is being thrown away for “tips” and they have been able to buy what they wanted. Good for Them !!!
