Cheap Hotels in France

I want to go back to France, but I don’t have a lot of money to spend on a trip. I would prefer to stay out of youth hostels so I am looking for some cheap hotels in France. I don’t want anything that is really run down, but I just can’t afford to spend a lot of money for a luxurious suite. I don’t plan on spending much time in my hotel room so I don’t really care if it isn’t much to look at. I just need a comfortable bed and a working shower that are clean and affordable.
