Hotels on the Themes river

We stayed in the city during our most recent stay in London, something that we have always avoided on previous trips because I didn’t think it would be pleasant nor worth the cost. But when looking for hotels for this trip, I found a couple which were quite reasonably priced. They were both in the heart of everything, looking over the Themes river which was far from unpleasant. It really meant that we spent less time in transit to, and could really make the most of our limited time in the city. It is likely to be some time before we are likely to be able to return again, so we really wanted to the tourist thing and see as much as possible.
